Teapot Bot Noob Guide
The ins and outs to Teapot Bot and everything in between.
What is Teapot Bot?
Teapot Bot is designed to bridge the gap between Teapot and the growing community on Discord. Users can see and customize their Teapot settings, aswell as view statistics.
What data does the bot store?
- ID - your unique Discord User ID
- Email - the one you provided when linking
- Timestamp - an ISO8601 timestamp of the connection date
- Privacy Setting - a true/false value that you set your profile visibility to
How do I claim Linked Roles?
In the Teapot Live Discord Server (or servers with the bot installed and roles setup):
- Ensure you have linked your Teapot Account to the bot for commands
- Click on the Server Name top open the context menu
- Click on Linked Roles
- Click the role you would like (eg: Lifetime)
- Click on the Teapot Live popup and hit Authorize
The Bot will recieve a message from Discord with your indentity, the bot uses this to reply to Discord with the data they need for the intergration. The bearer token passed over OAuth2 is not stored or refreshed for future use, so you will have to manually refresh that data yourself by following the same steps or clicking here.
